I cannot tell you just how much I enjoy dining at The Owl of Minerva in Pickering. Besides their delicious food, the staff are so friendly, courteous, and professional. They certainly know how to make you feel welcomed, kinda like family. We were celebrating a friend's birthday on this visit for lunch. Our delicious meal included the following: - Soy Garlic Korean Fried Chicken - Pork Chop BBQ - BulGoGi - JapChae - TiKim ManDu - Kimchi Jeon As usual, the meal also included the traditional side dishes, like kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radishes, and more. This visit was one of those very rare times when we did not order their delicious Pork Bone Soup. Maybe next time. Everything was absolutely delicious! The fried chicken is always a big hit, along with the bulgogi. All the dishes were very flavourful but it was so much food, we each had to take some home. Thank you, Owl of Minerva, for another wonderful meal! We will definitely be back!
We stopped in for a late lunch during the week and I was surprised at the amount of people there. I guess it just shows how good this restaurant is. I came specifically for pork bone soup and my husband opted for the bibimbap. Both dishes were delicious, well prepared and presented beautifully with ample serving size. There is a fair amount of seating at this restaurant and I have no doubt it fills up quickly during the evening. The service was excellent and will definitely have to come back soon.
Been going here for ages - always comfort Korean food done right - fresh, tasty and huge portions!
Tried their tasty Korean fried chicken. I got Yangnyeom fried chicken small size with 9 pieces. The pieces are huge and this would feed 3 people with average appetite for lunch. I can see why people keep coming back. The chicken was crispy, with the right amount of batter and sauce. The chicken was not too dry.
Pork Bone soup is amazing . All the kimchi is very flavorful and a nice addition. We also tried the Bibimbap which was flavorful and delicious. Staff is very friendly and professional. Definitely comfort food ( fresh , tasty and spicy ) with good portions. Highly recommend it if interested in Korean food :)
